Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Team BlackSheep collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you visit or buy from our online store at team-blacksheep.com and related Team BlackSheep storefront pages.

The store is operated by Blacksheep Avionics Co Ltd, based in Hong Kong. Any returns address shown in Europe is a logistics/returns address only and is not the operator or data controller for this store.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@team-blacksheep.com and include "Privacy Request" in the subject line.

Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the store, we may collect:

  • Account data: name, email address, password hash, login status, account preferences, email verification state, OAuth identifiers if you sign in with Google or Facebook, wishlist, reviews, rewards, dealer status, and account security records.
  • Order and checkout data: cart contents, checkout email, billing and shipping names, addresses, phone numbers, selected shipping country, coupons, order history, order status, payment method, payment status, transaction references, and tax/accounting records.
  • Payment data: payment providers process payment details for the payment methods we offer, including PayPal, CoinGate, and bank transfer. We do not intend to store full card numbers on our servers, but we may store payment status, method, provider references, fraud/security signals, and information needed for accounting, refunds, warranty, or dispute handling.
  • Support and dealer data: contact form messages, email address, name, phone number, attachments you upload, dealer application details, and follow-up correspondence.
  • Marketing and preference data: newsletter subscription status, cart reminder preferences, unsubscribe/suppression records, email delivery events where available, abandoned-cart recovery links, and one-time recovery offer records.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, timestamps, referral URLs, approximate location inferred from IP, session identifiers, cart tokens, security logs, and cookie or pixel identifiers.

How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • operate the store, accounts, carts, checkout, payments, shipping, returns, refunds, warranty, and customer support;
  • process and fulfil orders, calculate shipping, maintain order history, and sync order and product data with our internal systems;
  • send transactional emails such as password resets, email-change confirmations, order messages, support replies, and dealer-application communications;
  • send newsletters, product updates, and cart reminders where permitted by law and your preferences;
  • protect the store, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, debug errors, and keep logs;
  • measure site performance, understand product interest, improve the store, and advertise Team BlackSheep products;
  • comply with legal, accounting, tax, customs, export-control, sanctions-screening, and regulatory obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Legal bases for EU/UK users

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the store, account, cart, checkout, order fulfilment, payment, shipping, returns, warranty, and support services you request.
  • Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, customs, consumer protection, product safety, and regulatory records.
  • Legitimate interests: for store security, fraud prevention, service improvement, internal administration, business analytics, customer support, and limited marketing to existing customers where permitted.
  • Consent: for optional marketing and non-essential tracking technologies where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the store working. These include session cookies, CSRF/security tokens, and cart cookies such as anonymous cart tokens that help keep your cart available between visits. Some of these are necessary for the store to function.

We use, or plan to use, Google and Meta/Facebook tracking technologies, including Google tags and the Meta Pixel. These tools may collect or receive information about your visit, product views, cart and checkout events, purchases, device/browser identifiers, IP address, and cookie or advertising identifiers. Google and Meta may use that information to provide measurement, attribution, audience building, retargeting, and advertising services according to their own terms and privacy policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If local law requires specific opt-in or opt-out handling for non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will handle that for the applicable jurisdiction, which may include limiting those technologies for affected visitors. If you block cookies, some store features may not work properly.

Marketing, newsletters, and cart reminders

If you subscribe to newsletters, opt in to marketing, or are an existing customer where similar-product marketing is legally permitted, we may send product news, offers, and store updates. Each marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.

If you start checkout or leave items in your cart, we may send cart reminder emails where permitted. Cart reminders may include a return-to-checkout link and a one-time recovery offer. You can opt out through the unsubscribe link in the email or from your account email preferences.

We keep suppression records so we can respect unsubscribe and opt-out requests.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes described above, including with:

  • hosting, infrastructure, database, cache, security, logging, and software providers;
  • payment processors and payment method providers, including PayPal, CoinGate, banks, and related fraud-screening or payment-security providers;
  • shipping, warehouse, fulfilment, returns, customs, tax, and logistics partners;
  • email and messaging providers, including Amazon SES or other email delivery services;
  • Google and Meta/Facebook for login, analytics, measurement, advertising, and retargeting where those services are enabled;
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors, accountants, legal advisers, and compliance providers;
  • government, customs, law-enforcement, regulatory, or dispute-resolution bodies where required or reasonably necessary; and
  • Team BlackSheep group companies and internal systems used to operate manufacturing, fulfilment, support, accounting, and customer service.

We do not sell your personal data for money. Some advertising or retargeting activities may be considered a "sale", "sharing", or targeted advertising disclosure under certain privacy laws. Where those laws apply, we will honor applicable opt-out requirements, which may include browser or platform privacy signals or limiting those activities for affected users.

International transfers

Team BlackSheep operates internationally. Your personal data may be processed in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States, the European Union, and other countries where we, our group companies, service providers, payment providers, shipping partners, or support systems operate. Privacy laws in these countries may differ from those in your country.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, vendor due diligence, access controls, and transfer mechanisms recognized by applicable law.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

  • Anonymous carts and cart tokens are generally kept for a limited recovery period and may expire after about 30 days.
  • Password reset and account-change tokens are kept for short security windows and then expire.
  • Order, payment, fulfilment, tax, accounting, customs, warranty, and legal records are kept for the periods required for business, tax, accounting, warranty, regulatory, and legal purposes.
  • Support, dealer, and warranty communications are kept while needed to handle the request and for reasonable business/legal recordkeeping.
  • Security logs are kept for a limited period unless needed to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.
  • Marketing preferences and unsubscribe/suppression records may be kept as long as needed to respect your choices.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, opt-out of marketing, opt-out of certain targeted advertising or sale/sharing, and to lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.

You can update account details and some email preferences in your account. You can unsubscribe from marketing or cart reminders using the links in our emails. To make another privacy request, contact support@team-blacksheep.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

For Hong Kong users, this includes rights to request access to and correction of personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. For EU/UK users, this includes the rights provided under GDPR/UK GDPR. For California and other US state residents, this may include rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Children

The store is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Higher age thresholds may apply in some countries for optional online consent-based services.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, HTTPS, password hashing, CSRF protections, and operational security practices. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links and third-party services

The store may link to third-party websites, social platforms, payment providers, video platforms, or login providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required.
